Sheep event

*   "Running with the lambs" is a great idea. Let Waipuk have their event, they deserve to have that opportunity. I'm sure all proper measures will be put in place for the lambs and public safety. Do all these complainers think that they're going to be newborn lambs?

*   How arrogant of the CHB Festival to persist with the running of the lambs despite SPCA and public oppostion. Show some respect for your animals.

Other thoughts

*   Those wonderful pro life ladies and gentleman outside the hospital do have a job and a full life. The unborn aborted will never see life.

*   So US conglomerate GE is buying up New Zealand business without barely a mention. What's to become of us in our own country? I wish all the foreign profiteers would pack up their carpetbags and go home!

*   Pleased to see Happy Feet has finally gone. What a waste of time and money. Hope it doesn't return.

*   Re spectacles and soccer: I played for years while wearing glasses and a headband to hold them on to my face. Got kudos for it (brave). Would have been gutted ?I couldn't have played. What if you fall over and cut your knee... call the game off because it's dangerous?

*   What a joke. Pouring millions into alcohol addiction, then marketing alcohol to the max. Pull your socks up John Key. People before profit. RB

I*    thought the Napier Hospital site was before a Waitangi Treaty Claim.

*   Time the courts forced these high profile alcoholics into treatment instead of imposing fines they can well afford.

*   Why is the Hastings council putting away $50,000 for a study on an amalgamation that isn't going to happen. Napier residents do not want to take on Hastings out-of-control debt.

*   Election advice for Napier. Vote Stuart Nash for Napier, vote Chris Tremain for Hastings. DF

*   Big MeanMaoriMean to Heather and Wayne Skipworth and their support team on Ironmaori doco on Maori TV. Well done Mr Makea and Mr Katene and all contestants.

*   My heart goes out to Johnny Wright's family and friends. xoxo

*   Mercia Paaymans of WOW awards is a Hastings Boys High School teacher and proud of it.

*   Love seeing everyone NOT using the new bike lanes and using the footpaths and space for on-road carparks instead. Could have used all that money for a big and nice exciting playground for the Flaxmere and Whakatu comunities. Who's in charge? Obviously the wrong people!

*   The new netball courts. What a waste of money. There was nothing wrong with the old ones! And the car park. Don't get me started. How stupid!

*   Work and Income. You waste so much paper, it's horrible! Maybe Greenpeace needs to set something up about tree abuse.

*   The key to no jobs is John Key's Nats inaction.

*   Rugby World Cup. BRING BACK BUCK... What more can we do?

*   Now that the DHB has finally sold Napier Hospital maybe they could pay the homecare workers the wage increase that was ratified by the union in August, 2010. We need it!

*   Good to read about new Kiwis, the Pearse family. Wondered if they stayed and not a waste of money spent on that competition. Who wouldn't want to live in paradise eh?
