Roading Shame on HDC.
 * What a mess down Omahu Rd. Dangerous potholes and trenches that you can lose a wheel in or a major accident waiting to happen for pushbikes or motorcycles. I heard foul language from one of the contractors to another member of the public and I feel sorry for the businesses as the vehicle access is just about nonexistent. CM
* The new lights at Southampton St are terrible and traffic goes way back to Hastings St roundabout. It is dangerous for Central School and Central Kindy.
* Roundabout, lanes and lane directions with and without arrows at Taradale clock area seems dangerous. Is it dangerous? I have seen several near misses. CS
Amalgamation
* Re amalgamation: To be honest we are miles apart with our ideas and developments. Napier's just a wanabe big brother who tries to just worry about itself and Hastings with its farming council just worry about sheep and cattle. TES
* Re Amalgamation. Let's join with Palmerston Nth.JB
Art Deco
* I agree Deco buses big waste of money. Fix Onekawa pool and get dolphins for Marineland,
* I too am sick of Deco. We have other needs. Rebuild Onekawa pools, do something with Marineland, we need more stuff for the youth. Ann
* Napier City Council has great ideals for Art Deco. Pity it isn't the same for clean, broken-glass free streets. Rang them and broken glass still there a day later. BJ, Onekawa
Other thoughts
* Some medical centres need to move into the 21st century and allow their patients to pay by credit card if they wish to.
* Hastings people should all get bikes for going to town - Council don't have bike parking meters.
* Re Rick Barker: It is why MMP is so dishonest. You can't vote out an MP they just get back via the good old party list. Get money for nothing. CA, Hastings
* Good to see Chris Tremain finding out what people think about raising the drinking age. No doubt when he votes he will ignore their views like he did with the anti-smacking law.
* What a mess the Hastings Returned Service Men's cemetery is in. AN
* Re prisoners re-building Christchurch: What about the many qualified builders out of work. Wonder what hourly rate would be for prisoners. Cheap labour eh. Jan Edgar
* Beware email from IRD saying you have a refund due. Just a scam.
* To the person who claimed they saw a 'very young girl' in a dairy asking if she could use her Winz payment card: First of all what difference does it make if she was young or older and secondly maybe she had used it at supermarket and had a few cents/dollars left on the card and wanted to buy herself a lollipop. Seriously who cares. You said you find that disgusting, I find it disgusting when people judge when clearly you have no idea of her situation!
* So the mother of the Kahui twins has written a tell all book. What a disgrace! I hope and pray that the entire country takes a stand and refuses to buy a single copy.
* Al Thompson, bad choice of words but very good point .
* I think Jenny Biss from Napier Girls' High School Hewett House is the most trusted person in Hawke's Bay.
* Why are they crucifying Alan Hubbard while the likes of Bryers, Hoskins and Watson are living the high life and not giving a toss for their creditors?
* Agree with AL re fog = headlights. Remember "see and be seen". Di
