Zac Guildford

*   Zac you are the boy. Another Bay boy - four tries. Izzy hope you recovery quickly you are a great team together BJ

*   Zac Guildford, what an awesome game as an AB against Canada, you so deserve being an All Black! Well done. Good on ya mate.

Races

*   Disappointing Hastings horse races. Promoted as a family day, 3.30pm teenagers climbing fences, fighting, smoking dope. Police doing nothing about it. We won't go back.;

*   $30 to get into the races. Never, ever again.

Manawatu gorge

*   The solution to the Gorge is to blast the face of loose shingle. We used to do it in forestry when we kept having slips. PT.

*   A tunnel going through the Gorge. Should have happened years ago when it got offered, now we just keep putting millions and millions of dollars into a gorge that will still keep getting blocked. Come on government get real. S Wilkins, Hastings

*   Cyclists As a cyclist I think the roads by new Warehouse in Karamu Rd are a cyclist death trap. All money and thinking for big business. Go take look at cycle shambles. JB

*   Cyclist bashers get a life. Maybe you should try it instead of sitting round criticising everything that done to help them stay safe. EG

*   I agree with thoughts on cyclists taking up all road space. I live at Puketapu and have often thought of taking photos of them. They have total disregard for cars

*   Hand signDagg's hand gesture is an ancient Egyptian sign that the snake has struck again and long may this dag of a snake strike!

Other thoughts

*   HBDC parking wardens disgusting targeting people going to St Columbus church fair on Saturday morning. Just revenue collecting. Never see them about any other Saturday.

*   So Facebook admits tracking users' site visits, even when users have logged out. Big Brother and his minions are all about power and control.

*   In response to KF: For dog registration I thought that too until I rung this nice lady who explained it to me and made me realise how big HDC area is. That is we pay more than Napier and we had eight weeks before fee added. Why don't you ring them too! Also imagine the town with no animal control and roaming dogs! A nasty mess!

*   Absolutely proud of police parade. Many Hastings retailers standing on footpath outside shops. Shame about the patched Mongrel Mob members yelling out and displaying their call signs. Why don't we follow Whanganui and ban patches in public!

*   To D. Payne, re Expressway Danger. The 80km/h speed restriction and red bollards have been there for a month! They are not confusing. Use the lane markings as they are intended. It's all very simple. JH

*   Thank you to the lovely young man at Tamatea Shell Service Station always puts my petrol in for me and cleans my dirty windows. Please do not leave.

*   Don't generally agree with Don Brash's ideas, but I do agree that minor cannabis offences could maybe draw an instant fine but more than an ounce would go to court. All that money per year is better spent elsewhere. JB

*   It's so pleasing to see the gloomy mood of our nation lift after so much sadness over the past year. Way to ABs and Warriors!

*   Many thanks to Unison for restoring power so quickly after a neighbour had a small electrical fire.

*   Omahu Road Dental awesome staff and service. Makes going to dentist bearable. CH
