Cycle lanes
*  I think the bike lanes are great! We need more, maybe consider dual bike and footpath (dare I say it) like in Perth.
*  Council congrats on cycle lanes look forward to seeing someone use them. I see more bikes on footpaths than in lanes. AD
*  Re cycle lanes.
What's with the painted bikes on centre of the road lanes around the roundabouts now? A bit OTT don't you think. I always stick to the left. Seriously!? People obviously have nothing better to do with their time other than whinge! There's plenty of room for cyclists and motorists! Get a life, moaning HB!
Care providers
*  Interesting. Care providers paid $20.73 for housework & $23.77 for personal care. I work for Anglican Care. Get $13 & $13.45 an hour. That's a big difference.
*  Anglican care workers paid $13 dolars an hour for homecare $13.45 for personal care. What's your hourly rate Mr Lesperance?
Other thoughts

*   Politicians treatment of Crete vets fine example of the callous contempt in which they hold us all.
*  Regardless of driving speed it is unsafe, inconsiderate, and most importantly, illegal to tailgate. Courier drivers especially should take note. TW
*  $11 million contract given to South Island firm. Thanks HDC, what about our local firm that has done the job for years with no problems. 13 jobs lost. Try double that figure. Many of these guys have young families. Infracon is a family company and you have destroyed that. Well done.
*  The Salvation Army store in Warren Street, Hastings, has to be the most reasonably priced second hand store around.
*  To the person moaning about not able to afford restricted licence. Get over it. Save up and get it. Everyone else has to. Stop breaking the law.
*  Just driven past bus shelter noon Fri. All seats wet! Where are out-of-town passengers supposed to sit? JR
