* Thumbs down to the rude arrogant owner of a cafe. While I waited at his counter to purchase hot drinks and dessert for myself and a mate and kide, he rudely ordered my kid off his tables as they had fish n chips from elsewhere. I approached him to say I was buying from his cafe but he stil insisted we eat our food elsewhere. No wonder his cafe was empty!
* Are our local politicians doing anything about the serious unemployment situation in HB? J
* Here we go again moaning about smokers. I bet they are all ex-smokers who would love to have a puff but are too tight or not fit to handle one. W.L
* Oh dear poor inmates, too pathetic to stop smoking. They are being given lots of toys to help them...give me a break!
* I agree with you Russell that family trusts are rorts. Don't expect any change though because I bet most politicians would have them.
* Kia Ora Te editor... Oh how wrong and unjust can our legal system be...by simply not allowing every related aspect of the Wi Huata saga to be heard. If senior management knew of his so called bullish type tactics, what safety measures did they implement in order to ensure that all parties would be safe? Perhaps ERO may need to pay the school a visit to establish whether simple steps are in place. In summary, Maoridom could do with a lot more positive light. Signed ex-pupil who found that your accused has a caring nature and his bark is definitely bigger than his bite.
* Can't wait to see if Wi Huata gets the chop by the NZ Teachers council for an assault when a female teacher was struck off for "bareing all" in Penthouse.
* Regarding Nelson park trees: They give us oxygen. Hastings is so polluted, wake up stop killing papatuanuku, (the earth) grow more trees.
*  Stop living in the past. Marineland should be closed. Shop fronts should face the parade. Move on and look toward the future!
