Stabbing

*   After Monday's front page it's almost shameful to say "I live in Napier".

*   Re New Year attack. Three against two, how typical of cowards. Bolt to the head for all three. Job done. Do us all a favour. JW

*   To the clowns that beat up the 24-yr-old and his mate on their way home from a good night on the town: What are you like at one on one aye! Low-life scum is what you are!

*   Napier on TV News for the wrong reasons. Why do we need to put up with lawlessness in our city? Are you bad eggs just bored out of your minds? Don't you value anyone's life?

*   What is Napier coming to if people aren't allowed to wear red or whatever without someone getting badly hurt. I don't like groups walking around wearing black, but I don't kill them.

Ant Killer

*   1 cup water, 1 cups sugar, 2 tablespoons borax, 2 tablespoons boracic bcid. Boil all together 3 minutes, put small amounts in shallow lids around ant haunts. This is very good. Also here's a cockroach one. Cockroaches: cup plaster of paris or polyfilla, 1 cup oatmeal and a little sugar, mix together and spread round their haunts. VK.

*   Ants inside: Vitapet flea and vacuum works well. Jay

*   To get rid of ants wipe all surfaces with white vinegar.

*   To kill the ants use fly spray, and salt and pepper. Apply to entry point in that order. TP

*   Re what kills ants: Talcum powder. Just put it around where the ants are coming from and change it every few days.

*   Ants: Boil together for 5 minutes 1dsp borax, 1cup sugar, 1 tbsp boracic acid, 1pint water. Cool. Store in jar and use old pots and spoons. I put it in milk bottle tops in ants' path. Keep it full.

*   Ant problem: There's a poison called Exterminant from Farmlands. It will take a while, but it's good. GS

*   Raid liquid ant killer A few drops and ants are attracted to it. They eat it and take it back to their colony outside then all the colony is poisoned. Don't wipe up ants inside let them eat and go out. DM.

*   Re ant problem: Borax, Mitre 10 stocks it. Really works and safe to the environment. JB, Westshore

Other thoughts

*   Can anyone please answer this question? What year was the Leviathan Hotel in Waipukurau demolished?

*   I was the other car that the gold SS Commodore passed. He was crazy. I'm surprised he didn't kill someone. Going too fast to get plate. Bloody idiots.

*   Why do I have to pay $36 for recycling and $16 for refuse in my rates when I pay for a wheelie bin to be collected? R Berry

*   Question. When a police officer writes someone a ticket where does the money go?

*  I came home from Auckland last Week by bus. The toilet at Taupo at the bus depot was locked at 5.55. Just on 3 hours since the last stop when we stopped at Napier. Will fly from now on.
