Cricket

*    We enjoyed the cricket and music at the ODI cricket. Well done on the new score board too. We look foward to the next match against South Africa.

*    I didn't mind the loud music. I had a problem with the young drunks in grandstand swearing and constantly putting Zimbabwe down. Especially as we sat in the family area to get away from that. Not what I wanted my kids to listen to.

Other thoughts

*    What has happened to the skate bowl taken out of now the Pak'nSave car park? It should be relocated to the other end of Marine Parade. Something free for the kids to enjoy since we the tax payers have paid for it.

*    The indian Ram family should be deported back to India. The parents are over stayers, have been for 8 years. The parents are adults, they knew what they were doing. Take children back to their real roots. No sympanthy from me, others hve been deported - one rule for all.

*    Just read Breaking Silence. Ian Wishart on the Kahui twins murder. I urge all to read it. It's an amazing read and so heart breaking. WP

*    I'm a mum. In regards to youths hanging around in town. They are in every town doing as they please because we have no control. Bring back the smack. There is a difference between a smack and a hiding.

*    Shame on Hastings District Council, you parked your company car in a carpark on Russell St with the meter expired for 45 minutes! Meter man came pass during this time checking the meters and ignored it. If it was any other car they would of got a ticket! I jumped out of my car and took photos which clearly shows the expired meter, the HDC car, and the number plate!

*    What do kids look forward to now tha pictures is close? Not much they can do.

*    I would just like to mention, through your column, the wonderful service that my young 8-year-old daughter received. She had to have dental treatment over the Xmas holidays. Dr Ian Rosenberg was so caring and polite towards her and made her experience that much better as we all hate going to the dentist, well I do anyway. Thanks again Ian. Maria Barbarouses

*    Re WD text: Mate what are you on? I read ths column everyday and don't actually no your point. Is it boy racers up Coote Rd you don't like or tourism?

*    Is the Government stripping the assets and jewellery from the fellows who robbed South Canterbury Finance. I'm sure us taxpayers want our $1.7 billion back.

*    Woo hoo. $13.50 minimum wage. How generous. Can you spare it.

*    4km/h over speed limit applies to trucks. It should be permanent for other vehicles, no exceptions, they've had it to easy for too long.
