Bottle feeding

*    OMG La Leche League, can't Piri Weepu help by giving mum a break and bottle feeding babe with espressed milk. Over the top. Breastfeeding mum

*    I'm absolutely stunned and outraged by the blind ignorance and stupidity of these people who give women abuse because they bottle feed. How dare they assume they know better. They don't know what the circumstances are for that mother. l am the father of seven healthy children and not all were breast fed. Mind your own business and get a life and stop assuming you know better. MHHP

Gangs

*    I agree with SF's article in Thursday's paper. Black Power leaders need counselling. How can they let that happen. I teach my kids to respect their elders - friend or foe.

*    Gangs: Why don't they mentor their boys to get jobs, take care of family and stay out of trouble?

*    Here's an idea. Let the Indian family stay, work, contribute and prosper. Chuck out a load of those cowardly bullies from the Mongrel Slob or Slack Power!

*    Police tactics were successful getting Mr Dotcom. Now clean out the gangs the same way then we may have a country to be proud of and more safe!

Other thoughts

*    Some people who work their butts off (and make around $400 a week) to make ends meet, feed their families and pay horrendous rate bills, power bills and doctors bills etc.. Meanwhile the CEO's are sitting on their butts getting around $4000 a week!

*    After reading about the mayor in the paper talking about council pay rises I get it - we rate payers are really ATMs.

*    To TN, Clive. Bought two dozed cloth nappies late last year from Baby Factory for new great grandchild. Nothing wrong with them. Does the job. If more demand for them, maybe quality will improve. 74 yr old Greenie

*    Out for an evening walk between spells of rain and discovered too many roadside gutters clogged with debris and rubbish! Who is responsible for the cleanup?

*    Did John Key get double time and a day in lieu when he went to the Waitangi Day. It's a holiday for him too, isn't it?

*    Why sell our our water ways when the whole world requires it? Good on Maoridom for trying to put a stop to it. JB

*    Just had best night at stockcars in Palmy. Only sour note was drunk Hawke's Bay fans with sewer mouths. Rest of HB fans ok.

*    JC was it the Majestic that used to be next to what is now the National Bank? BGR

*    Re ship themed restaurant: Yes I remember that restaurant. Ex local Dean Kellet (RIP) used to dress up as the "pirate" to entertain the diners. That was about 26 years ago. Man I feel old! Lol. TP

*    Thanks for putting the no parking sign by the crossing in Ikanui Road. Got to teach parents to read now. We need the ticket people back for a while to monitor it.

*    Re death penality text on 3/2/12: Probably the same reason why I pay taxes for the roads and I don't even drive. It's just the way it is - also death penalty is wrong, innocent people die all over world for the wrong convictions. Take David Bain for example, what if death penalty was in place back then? Just food for thought.

*    Karting scholarship: A big congratulations to Team Dilusi for offering the opportunity of a karting scholarship to a young Kiwi and for supporting and promoting NZ motorsport, well done guys. MP

*    If it wasn't for the Rodeo Assn the horses at least would be pet food or glue! They are well looked after and spend 360+ days a year munching grass instead of your pets munching them!

*    It's awful kids are being beaten up by their parents in NZ. Having a low income and a partner who doesn't like kids must have a bearing on things for these unlucky kids.

*    Moana Park was excellent for the wine weekend. A live band and people dancing, hay bales and a tent - great atmosphere. Dan

*    Can someone please tell me where to go to get a hole drilled in a rock? My home drill isn't coping very well.

*    Geez are you kidding me? Traffic cops not at Bluff Hill because traffic was chaos? Next you'd want them to come to your place to stop traffic while you drive away from your house! Not their fault people can't abide by the rules! Blame the drivers! One day I'd like to own my own home. But with the way the Council spends ratepayers hard-earned cash, in some cases against their wishes or concerns, I'm quite happy to continue renting for the time being. Listen to the people council!

*    The answer to poverty in NZ is simple, the government should take a wage cut. I've heard of other countries doing it so they should start caring for others instead of their own greedy pockets.

*    Can someone tell me what time Havelock Domain toilets are open? Went to use them at 8.30am, still locked.

*    While Hastings roads are being narrowed why can't cycle paths be on the wider verges rather than squashed onto narrow side?
