TEXT OF THE DAY:
Why does no one have anything nice to say any more about others? We should look at ourselves before others. We are all in this life together. Why not be kind? KM

OTHER THOUGHTS:
At least 3000 Cantabrians have had a gutsful and are moving, not to another part
of NZ but to Aussie. What does that tell you about the state of the country and our illustrious national govt at its helm.
Surely the Lumsden Rd upgrade has to be the craziest in the land. The council should be taken to task for any accidents. Come on HCC smarten up.
Thankyou to all those giving us such wonderful support as we make a stand to save the unborn outside Hastings Hospital.
Right to voice opinion is not right to accost young school children on their way to intermediate. Shame on you anti-abortionists outside hospital. L
Regarding Park Island: Was it that lout who did the mess on the new roundabout at Irongate Road. Just get tough, put them in jail for a while. End of story.
A keen rider myself but like many others am shocked at a small percentage of brainless riders who think they have the right of way on our roads. KH
Treated sewage discharged into the Tukituki River. People still swim there in summer. HB District Council is a disgrace. 100 per cent pure, bulls! T
Re prisoners: People should realise that prisoners are people too. They just need help to cope in society, not just think they're scum of the earth and throw away the key. The politicians have created a problem by banning smokes on the July 1. Did they not think it through. Smokes are a stress relief and now look. The prison guards have to suffer the consequences of their dumb politicians and to be honest the politicians we have running our country are an embarrassment. They have no idea what they're doing ! DMN FH
Another waste of taxpayers money on buses. What's wrong with taxis as normal. Roll on elections. Vote for someone who listens to ratepayers! Still waiting for decent swimming pool! JR

I wonder what those bike parts things are for in Hastings. How much did they cost us? Answer please Mr Yule.
Congratulations to Sheila Linton and Cr Michelle Pyke in opening the Napier Hospital on the hill issue again, 11 out of 10 for trying, most of Napier are behind you I'm sure. Russ
