The first run-with-ram ewes appeared and sold according to their quality.

Adult cattle and bulls sold well but R2 heifers and younger stock met a sticky market at yesterday's store sale at Stortford Lodge.

It was a different story in the sheep sale, with lambs rising again despite the big offering of more than 5000 head.

Longer-term lambs were especially strong as winter grazers stocked up.

The first run-with-ram ewes appeared and sold according to their quality.

A feature of the lamb sale was the almost-1000 lambs offered by Hurakia Farming Trust, Taupo.
