Cattle prices remained strong and lamb prices recovered from last week's dip at this week's store sale at Stortford Lodge.
The cattle yarding of 345 head was mostly of good quality and sold to buyers from Central Hawke's Bay, Hastings, Feilding and Gisborne.
The lamb yarding comprised mostly ewe lambs which sold
well although lesser sorts were harder to quit.

Prime saleSheep and cattle prices were back at Monday's prime sale.
The drop in cattle prices was in line with an easing in the schedule. The best of the ewes and lambs held their value but lesser sorts were harder to sell.
There were 1108 ewes, 1197 lambs and 194 cattle on offer.

Heifers: (Angus and angus-cross, crossbred) Av weight, 295kg to 391kg, 174c/kg to 210c/kg, $513/head to $822/head; 500kg to 605kg, 214c/kg to 217c/kg, $1070/head to $1313/head.
Oxen: ( Angus, crossbred, simmental-cross) Av weight, 300kg to 473kg, 181c/kg to 222c/kg, $543/head to $1051/head; 551kg to 624kg, 224c/kg to 232c/kg, $1234/head to $1536/head.
Cows: (Hereford-friesian, simmental-cross, angus-cross, hereford, angus) Av weight, 345kg to 630kg, 131c/kg to 181.5c/kg, $452/head to $1153/head.
Bulls: (Friesian) av weight, 538kg, 210c/kg to $1130/head.
SHEEP
