Good cattle sold well but others were hard work at yesterday's store sale at Stortford Lodge.

Mahurangi Station bulls made up a big part of the yarding of fewer than 300 head. The station at Marumaru has given up the lease and there were 96 R2 bulls and steers in the sale which were in demand.

The station also had almost 500 five-year in-lamb ewes and 411 ewe lambs in the sale.

In the sheep section the best of the SIL ewe offering made $193. The Mahurangi ewes made between $162 and $189.
