Stock sold well at Stortford Lodge.

Stock sold well at Stortford Lodge.

A big contingent of outside buyers kept prices up at yesterday's Stortford Lodge store sale.

A big yarding of about 1600 head of cattle sold well, particularly yearling angus steers.

Ewes with lambs at foot were down again on last week but this was a reflection of the quality on offer. Much of that yarding was hoggets with young lambs at foot.

The lamb offering was all spring lambs, many of outstanding quality, and they sold accordingly.

Buyers were from Hawke's Bay, Taupo, Waikato, King Country, Manawatu, Rangitikei and the Bay of Plenty.
