Stolen car hanging off a bank in Tangoio

A stolen car has been found sitting in a precarious position in off the highway near Tangoio , Hawke's Bay.

A police spokesperson said had received a call about a car in danger of rolling down a bank at the intersection of State Highway 2 and Tangoio Settlement Road. The car had been reported stolen.

She said a tow truck had been called and no one appeared to be in immediate danger.

Police arrived at the scene around 9.30am on Monday.
