A Hawke’s Bay highway has reopened under traffic control after a vehicle fire.
Emergency services were called to State Highway 5, between Te Pohue Loop Rd and Richmond Rd, about 11.20am and the highway was closed.
The vehicle fire spread to vegetation and Fire and Emergency NZ was attending, policesaid.
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi said SH5 was now under stop/go control and delays were expected.
