Speech teachers to descend on Hawke's Bay

Speech teachers from all over New Zealand will descend on Hastings for their annual professional development seminar on October 12 and 13.

Only this year it will be different as the Speech Communication Association of New Zealand is also celebrating its Diamond Jubilee.

There will be registered teachers from Whangarei to Invercargill, including a large contingent from Christchurch attending celebrations at Theatre Hawke's Bay in Hastings.

There will also be a number of high profile speakers taking workshops and seminars, including Glenda Pearce, Jackie Shaw, Gabrielle Thurston, Ashleigh van den Akker, Jonathan Hunter, Josephine Carpenter and Sheridan Hickey.
