Motorists travelling north on State Highway 2 next week may face minor delays as contractors set to work from Monday on a five-day slip clearance and drainage clearing programme.

The work is taking place at various sites between Wairoa and Morere, as well as between the Tangoio Valley and Tutira.

Speed restrictions and stop/go signalling will be in place.

Also on SH2, around the Mohaka Hill region, Pan Pac forestry crews are carrying out occasional roadside tree felling, which will continue through to the end of the year.
