Motorists travelling north on State Highway 2 next week may face minor delays as contractors set to work from Monday on a five-day slip clearance and drainage clearing programme.

The work is taking place at various sites between Wairoa and Morere, as well as between the Tangoio Valley and Tutira.

Also on SH2, around the Mohaka Hill region, Pan Pac forestry crews are carrying out occasional roadside tree felling, which will continue through to the end of the year.

A guardrail project is being carried out between the Devils Elbow and Awamate through until the end of the month and slight delays can be expected.

On SH2 south, between Napier and Dannevirke, there are various work sites between Clive and Hastings, where cycleway improvements and sewer main work is being carried out, with speed restrictions in place.

Various maintenance programmes are also under way at various sites between Pakipaki and Te Hauke, and on Takapau Rd, 1.5km west of Waipukurau.
