A person has been seriously injured after a vehicle hit a pedestrian in Taradale on Thursday morning.

Emergency services attended the incident on Puketapu Rd about 8.45am.

A St John spokeswoman said St John Hato Hone assessed and treated one person who was taken to Hawke’s Bay Hospital in a serious condition.

A police spokeswoman said the road was not blocked.

A crash on Wednesday evening left one person in a moderate condition.

A police spokesman said emergency services attended an incident involving two vehicles at the intersection of Karamu Rd and Grove Rd in Hastings at 6.55pm.

A St John spokeswoman said St John assessed and treated one person who was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital in a moderate condition.
