The road remained closed while the Serious Crash Unit conducted a scene examination.

One person has died following a serious crash in Hastings on Saturday afternoon.

Police were alerted to a single-vehicle crash on Tomoana Rd, Mahora, about 12.40pm.

Sadly, despite best efforts of emergency services, one person died at the scene, a police spokeswoman said.

The road remained closed while the Serious Crash Unit conducted a scene examination.

Motorists were advised to follow diversions and expect delays.
