The scene of an aggravated robbery in Hastings.

The second woman arrested for the attack of a 77-year-old man has appeared in court.

Hastings woman, Dominique Kerehoma Rachel Carroll, 29, appeared at Hastings District Court today, just five days after her alleged co-offender, Chanel Te Ana Allen, 17, handed herself in and appeared in the same court herself.

Caroll was arrested earlier this morning in relation to an aggravated robbery of the elderly man's home which happened on Saturday June 25.

She faces two joint charges with Allen of burglary with a weapon and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Both offences are category three and carry a maximum penalty of 14 years' imprisonment each.
