A broken foot has halted the Super Rugby comeback of former All Black and Magpies rugby winger Zac Guildford.

Guildford had been a regular selection for the Waratahs since linking up with the Daryl Gibson-coached outfit with the aim of resurrecting his Super career. Gibson confirmed Guildford's injury when announcing his team to take on the Brumbies at Allianz Stadium tomorrow night.

A former Crusaders and Hurricanes player, Guildford had received more ticks than crosses from Gibson and his staff in recent weeks. Matt Carraro is taking his place on the left wing.

Wallabies star Israel Folau has been shifted from fullback to outside centre for the first time allowing Andrew Kellaway to start in the No 15 jersey. Fellow international Kurtley Beale will play at second five-eighth in his return from an elbow injury.

Jordan Smiler will start at No 8 for the Brumbies replacing Ita Vaea who has retired with health reasons. Wallaby David Pocock is serving a two-match suspension and Jarrad Butler replaces him after missing the last three matches with a knee injury.
