Hayley Alexander was excellent as the gnome who hid a terrible secret, Marisa Harada as Sandman contributed some well-executed dance moves and Morgan Wilkins gave a strong performance as a bird.
Sam Macintosh gave his role as a forester good depth but bumbling their way through all their scenes, providing great audience enjoyment, were two policemen, played by Anton Hosken and Andre Nicholls.
What they did with the police dog was cleverly thought out and is a lesson in you don't need computer derived effects to execute a good scene.
A large ensemble provided some outstanding singing and dancing and when all actors were on stage we were treaded some of the shows best moments, I am sure the choral mistress and choreographer were very proud of their young charges performance.
School halls are hard on production teams and this one, to their credit, did a great job with the lighting and some clever sound.
While the props where minimalistic they worked and provided all the background the actors required.

Excellent school holiday entertainment - you will not be disappointed.
