Inclement weather, which caused trees to fall, drains to flood, power outages and minor slips, was brought on by a front associated with the tropical low moving south.

Yesterday afternoon, Unison crews returned power to a remaining 30 homes on Kahuranaki Rd near Havelock North - the last of 30 repairs across Rotorua, Taupo and Hawke's Bay over a 24 hour period.
The majority of power outages were caused by trees and debris touching or bringing down power lines.
"We encourage all customers to ensure they know how to stay safe if they do come across fallen power lines," Unison customer relations manager Danny Gough said.
