Police are responding to a sudden death at a house in Maraenui.
A police spokeswoman said at 10.30am on Friday they were working to understand the circumstances of the incident on Richmond St.
A St Johns Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed that they were responding to a medical incident on private property.
Police confirmed to Hawke's Bay Today the death was not suspicious.
