A fun Pink High Tea to support cancer battler Kirsty Porcer will be held on Friday.

The 42-year-old has had to return to Germany for a second round of treatment to fight an aggressive form of breast cancer, which had metastasised to her bones.

The Hastings mother had hoped to be at the high tea, organised through friends, but was forced to return to Germany early.

"She was only here for two weeks and had to go again, so we missed our window," organiser Fiona Lambert said.

Doctors told Ms Porcer in January that stage-four breast cancer had metastasised to her hips, legs, knees and spine.

She found another way to fight the disease after doctors told her there was no hope and decided on body hypothermia treatment.

But first she had to raise funds.

She is selling her house and the community has rallied behind her.

"Incredibly, together with the Hawke's Bay public, we have raised almost $60,000 to go towards the total figure of $100,000 for my alternative cancer treatment," she said.

The high tea will be a lot more than dainty cakes and china.

Mel Wong from Vivid will give style tips, Corolie White from Suzelle Lingerie will talk about well-fitted bras and Tukituki Labour candidate Anna Lorck, will speak about Ms Porcer's struggle. Ms Lambert said "a good strong community" through the Frimley Kindergarten had organised the event.

From Germany Ms Porcer said she was touched by the "real community spirit and extreme kindness. I have been really touched and energised by all of the support," she said.

She hoped the 10.30am high tea, held at Hastings Miracle Centre, 315-317 Heretaunga St East, Hastings, would be a success.

"Not for the money, but because these ladies have done so much work!"

Donated goods will be raffled at the event and tickets, $20 each, are available from Suzelle Lingerie on Heretaunga St West, Vivid and Denton Wyatt Bookshop on Heretaunga St East and Birdwoods Gallery on Middle Rd near Havelock North, or can be bought at the door.
