A documentary about local photographer Allan Baldwin will be aired in a special screening at Reading cinema in Napier on Sunday at 9.30am.
Mr Baldwin was responsible for photographing some of New Zealand's most treasured Kuia mau moko - women with tattooed chins, throughout the late 1960s, early 70s.
Butfor many years his photographs sat in a chest and were not seen.
Now he is 90, and a moving Maori TV documentary, Allan Baldwin: In Frame has brought them to life.
In Frame explores the subjects of the photos, with interviews from descendants as well as the photographer.
