A person is trapped after a crash in Napier on Sunday afternoon.

Police said they were notified of a two vehicle crash on the intersection of Tait Drive and Kennedy Road at 1pm on Sunday.

Fire and Emergency are on the scene with two appliances and are working to extract the person from one of the vehicles.

St John ambulances are also on the scene but it is unknown at this stage the condition of those involved.
