One dead after serious crash on State Highway 2, near Wairoa

One person has died after a serious single-vehicle crash near Wairoa.

Police were called to the intersection of State Highway 2 and Te Pairu Road, Whakaki about 4.15pm on Sunday.

The Serious Crash Unit was examining the scene as at 8pm.
