Two well-established Havelock North medical practices have merged to form The Havelock North Health Centre.

Doctor Maurice Jolly and Doctor Colin Wakefield's practices have been purchased by The Hastings Health Centre Limited and have been rebranded as The Havelock North Health Centre.

Hastings Health Centre Chief Executive Officer Andrew Lesperance said the new practice will provide Havelock North residents with greater access to medical practitioners, including after hours and specialist medical services via the Hastings Heath Centre.

The practice will be based out of Dr Wakefield's former practice in Middle Rd, Havelock North, with Dr Jolly continuing to practice while Dr Wakefield has stepped down from day-to-day appointments.

The new practice, based at 26 Middle Rd, will be known as The Havelock North Health Centre from Monday.
