Jamie Curry

Jamie Curry

Hawke's Bay's own internet sensation Jamie Curry has secured a spot on a VIP Contiki.

The coach tour company kicks off its fourth season of its YouTuber series, The RoadTrip, on April 18.

Starting in Bangkok, the trip will see Contiki take 10 influential YouTubers on a trip around Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, sharing the experience with millions of viewers.

Jamie, from Jamie's World, was excited about the trip.

"It seems like such a cool place with a really interesting culture. I'm excited to meet other YouTubers and everyone I've spoken to about Contiki says it's a really great and fun experience".

Contiki will create a web series for their YouTube channel that chronicles the YouTubers journey.

Last year's Road Trip earned the brand over a million views and more than 30,000 subscribers in one week. The YouTubers organic content gathered more than 20 million views.

Contiki group marketing director, Alexis Sitaropoulos, said the secret of working with YouTubers and digital influencers is collaboration.

"Contiki thinks as an editor, networks as a friend and acts as a YouTuber, working with creators to provide the experiences they want for the content on their channels." A daily video series will be uploaded to www.youtube.com/contiki & more information is available at www.contiki.com/roadtrip.
