Napier-Taupo Rd re-opened following breakdown

The Napier-Taupo road on State Highway 5 has re-opened following an earlier road closure.

The route was earlier blocked between Pohokura Rd and Tataraakina Rd and police were advising motorists to delay travel.

A police spokesperson said a broken-down truck on the highway had blocked going both ways.

An NZTA spokesperson said while the road had re-opened caution was still advised along the route.
