Napier Port reports no disruption due to the cyber attack affecting shipping line Maersk.
The computer virus has disrupted businesses around the globe and led to congestion at ports in the United States, India, Spain and Netherlands.
Napier Port chief executive Garth Coie said so far it was plain sailing.
"We haven't experienced any delays as a result of Maersk being affected by the NotPetya ransomware attack.
"We have a Maersk ship calling at Napier Port to collect export containers, but the majority of the planning associated with that call was completed prior to the cyber attack.
No data was lost and operations would resume as soon as the issues were solved.
The virus has spread worldwide affecting private and government sectors. Hackers are telling victims to pay US$300 per infected computer to unlock their systems.
