Promising Hawke's Bay triathlete Eva Goodisson is in good form in the countdown to next month's world championship in Chicago.
The Woodford House student knocked 4m 13s off her previous time at the weekend's Hub Duathlon in Haumoana. Goodisson competed the Horleys 4km run, 21km bike, 2km run course in 1hr 03m 17s.
She was almost 2m ahead of the first man home who was Andy Walker (Vet 1) in 1h 05m 34s. Triathlon Hawke's Bay general manager Mike Bond said it was the stand-out performance in the fourth race of The Friendly Dental Duathlon Series.
Goodisson is coached by Ken Maclaren and is part of Sport Hawke's Bay's Spark Athlete Development Programme which aims to nurture promising talent.
Karen Toulmin (Open) made it four wins from four races, again cutting her time on The Hits Long Course.
