Police, fire service and St John Ambulance attended a car vs tree accident on Orchard Rd.

A car has crashed into a tree after police say the driver deliberately tried to run a motorcyclist off the road.

The incident happened just after 2pm on Orchard Rd in Camberly.

Acting sergeant Nick Renall said the car has hit the motorbike before crashing into the tree.

"It appears to be deliberate at this stage," he said.

The driver of the car was then involved in an altercation with the motorcyclist.

"Both adults in the car tried to run away through Kirkpatrick Park but were soon arrested and taken to hospital," Sergeant Renall said.

The motorcyclist left the scene and his whereabouts is currently unknown.

"We are confident we know who he is."

A hospital spokesperson said the woman involved in the crash was discharged while the man was in a stable condition.
