The Bay's lauded Mission Concert will take place on Saturday, April 8, next year.

Mission Estate Winery made the announcement this morning and said it was "very pleased" to again deliver one of the "hottest entertainment acts on earth".

The headline artist will be announced next Thursday.

SEL chairman James Erskine says he's beyond thrilled to confirm the 2017 concert and looks forward to announcing a massive artist line-up next week.

"The 2017 Concert promises to be one very special day at the Mission Estate Winery and in Hawke's Bay," a spokesperson said.

Previous stars to have graced the stage at the Mission Estate Concert include Rod Stewart, Sting, Barry Gibb, Carole King, Tom Jones, Ronan Keating. Melanie C, The Temptations, The Beach Boys, Shirley Bassey, Dionne Warwick, Ray Charles and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and Sir Tom Jones.

Organisers said anyone who was not a member or has changed email address since the last concert, should go to missionconcert.co.nz and register for free or update your details.
