Missing Hawke's Bay woman Autumn Sciascia found dead

A 22-year-old woman reported missing yesterday has been found dead.

Police said yesterday a search and rescue operation was underway after the discovery of Autumn Sciascia's car in Hawkes Bay.

Her death is not considered to be suspicious and has been referred to the Coroner, police said this afternoon.

Sciascia, who lived in Porangahau, was reported missing at 10.30am yesterday. She last had contact with her family on Wednesday morning.

A statement yesterday said the search was underway in the Wilder Rd area, where Sciascia's car was found.

A helicopter had also been deployed as part of efforts to locate the Hawke's Bay local.
