New Zealanders travelling to the Middle East and North Africa are being urged to register their details with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT).
Countries such as Bahrain, Libya, Jordan, Yemen, Morocco, Egypt and Tunisia have been rocked by often violent protests recently.
MFAT today said anyone travelling to the
Mideast or North Africa should register their details at www.safetravel.govt.nz so embassy staff could contact them in the event of an emergency.
