Two men brandishing a weapon demanded cash from bar staff this morning.

Police say an aggravated robbery took place about 9:30am at Zabeels Bar on King St in Hastings.

The men with a weapon demanded and took cash from staff.

Detective sergeant Darren Pritchard said the incident has left staff and patrons shaken but thankfully nobody was injured.

The offenders were seen to have left in an older style, red, 4-door vehicle at speed along King St towards St Aubyns St shortly after 9:30am.
