Andrew Meehan is an experienced fencer with 25 years spent farming where he has done fencing and the past 18 months fulltime.

He comes with a good track record of reliabililty and is well-equipped with specialised equipment. His 48hp Yanmar-powered tracked machine weighs under 3 tonne and can be towed on a trailer behind a ute.

The blade on the front is for stability on the hills and is an option to do a little bit of blading work.

"It is a combination machine that can be a post driver, auger drill and rock spike," says Andrew.

"At only 1.6m wide, it can weave along a fenceline (can't do that with a tractor) and get in the mud as it sits on top. Most tractors are around 6-8 tonne including the post driver, compared to 3 tonnes for my machine. I can drive it from the back - you don't need to walk around and get in it every time. The machine effectively replaces a labour unit at the time of driving the posts," he said.

Andrew is based at Mangatainoka near Pahiatua and can travel from Mount Bruce up to Dannevirke. His operation is portable, versatile and efficient. For example, he can get his machine into cattle yards. He can do fencing for small or big jobs on farms or lifestyle blocks. Phone him on 027 222 6292 for your next fencing job.
