A man who died in a crash west of Hastings on Friday has been identified as 19-year-old Shaun Michael Grant, of Napier.
The building apprentice was on his way to work when the crash happened on Taihape Rd, Pukehamoamoa, just before 7.50am.
He was a second-year member of the Napier
Pirates Colts rugby team which performed a haka in his honour and as a gesture to his family at the Colts' game against Hastings Rugby and Sports on Saturday.
His funeral will be at the Taradale Rugby Club on Wednesday at 2pm.
Hastings Police are still seeking information following the crash.
