Long road to our rugby stand
I have it on good authority that the Napier City Council makes the rules and regulations at McLean Park.
When we attend rugby matches there and sit in the Lowe Walker stand, we always enter from Vigor Brown St entrance by the Rodney Green Stand (we
have free parking over the road).
We turn right to go to the Lowe Walker Stand. Why is it that we are not allowed to enter the park and walk 20m down a path to this particular stand. We are marched back around to the Latham St entrance where everyone is trying to buy on-the-day tickets and Harris Stand ticket-holders are there also.
This would resolve the over-crowding at Latham St gate and a long walk back around to the Lowe Walker stand once in the ground. Parking lights don't cut it and it's unlawful to use fog lights in "clear conditions".
Drivers need to familiarise themselves with both the law and some common sense, and the police should be on patrol and writing tickets.Paul AxfordNapier
