Three ladies with some sparkling frocks, "kick ass" vocals and a fair bit of humour will rock the MTG stage next week.

The Lady Killers who are made up of Jackie Clarke, Tina Cross and Suzanne Lynch are kicking off their New Zealand tour in Napier after recently celebrating their 10th birthday.

Ms Clarke said: "We did a tour in June just around the top of the North Island and it was so successful, people from around the country were Facebooking us and asking us to perform elsewhere."

"We love it, it is so much fun, we just like to rock out and have a good time with the crowd."

The "wonder women of harmony" came together after the large Tsunami in Bali back in 2004.

"We were put together on a stage and from the moment we sung together it just seemed to work. We had a very particular sound and we all loved to perform."

Ms Clarke said they will be doing "intricate arrangements" of everything from Queen to Neil Finn to contemporary numbers like James Bay at their shows in Napier.

"There is such a variety and if you are in to harmony and kick ass vocals you will love it."

Ms Clarke said there was a lot of engagement with the audience, as they interacted between songs.

"It is a good time with a few laughs and a fair bit of humour. We like to chat a lot between numbers."

The Lady Killers are also doing their first ever matinee performance in Napier on Sunday, November 20 and they are calling it an "afternoon delight".

"It will be a much softer show and we won't rock out as much. We will play some smoozy stuff like Jazz and Dean Martin.

"Instead of having a glass of wine with the show it is more like having a cup of tea."

Ms Clarke said the trio would keep on performing for as long as they could.

"We just love the fact that we are women of a certain age who are not hiding and doing the knitting but are instead rocking out and having a good time."

She said she was never tired of the challenge of singing with other people and finding that "perfect blend" and hitting those top notes.

"It is so rewarding and we have great rapport."

The Lady Killer said the show would suit anyone wanting a girls' night out with some close friends.

"If you love some good songs that are well sung with some amazing harmonies and a sparkly frock or two then this show is for you."

The Lady Killers take to the MTG stage in Napier on Saturday November 19 at 8pm and Sunday November 20 at 2pm.

Tickets to the night show are available from eventfinda and cost $45 while tickets to the matinee are only available on the door and are $35.
