Knocked over phone line causes major delays in Hastings

Significant delays were caused during peak hour traffic in Hastings after a phone line was knocked down when a car crashed into it.

Police were called to the scene at about 4pm with reports that a car had hit a pole, which turned out to be a phone line.

West bound traffic was diverted in the area as Police and local authorities worked to clear the road.

No injuries were reported and the road was fully open by 4.50pm.
