Black Barn Havelock North. Marley - NZ All-Stars. Vocalists Boh Runga, Logan Bell, Ria Hall, Laughton Kora, Jason Kerrison, Anna Coddington, Fran Kora and P Digsss

In amongst the Black Barn Vineyards some of New Zealand's finest musicians celebrated one of the greatest influences on Kiwi music, Bob Marley, on Saturday night.

The New Zealand All Stars, made up of Boh Runga, Logan Bell, Ria Hall, Laughton Kora, Jason Kerrison, Anna Coddington, Fran Kora, Tiki Taane and P Digsss thrilled the sell-out crowd with some true Bob Marley bangers.

The vocalists were backed by the New Zealand All Stars band, which featured Grenville Bell, Leon Davy, Fran Kora, Lucien Johnson, Barrett Hocking, Paul Russell, Joel Shadbolt, Shelton Woolright and Godfrey de Grut.

The scattered showers didn't stop the revellers from pouring through the gates, as they raced to get the best view of the stage from the levelled banks in the Black Barn amphitheatre.

Nestled under their umbrellas concert goers enjoyed some glasses of wine or beer and some tasty picnic baskets, all in a relaxed and chilled atmosphere.

The Modern Maori Quartet - James Tito, Matariki Whatarau, Maaka Pohatu and Francis Kora - kicked the evening off to a good start and provided a fresh take on some classic Maori bands.

As daylight began to fade so too did the rain and it was time for the All Stars to take centre stage.

The fine musicians lit the crowd up with some incredible vocals and musical arrangements.

More and more people drifted from their positions on the bank and congregated at the front of the stage to get amongst the party atmosphere.

Three Little Birds, No Woman No Cry, Turn Your Lights Down Low, Buffalo Soldier, Punky Reggae Party, Exodus, just to name a few, had the crowd up on their feet and in fine form.

Jamaican flags swayed and Bob Marley tops were worn with pride as revellers rocked to some of the reggae master's biggest hits.

Each of the vocalists and the All Stars band members gelled together well, creating a sound that was dynamic and sweet to the ears.
