Hurricanes fans in Hawke's Bay will have the opportunity to get up and close to the premier division's top piece of silverware next week.
The Investec Super Rugby Trophy is set to embark on a tour of the regions which make up the Hurricanes' patch and on that schedule arestopovers in Napier and Hastings.
The trophy will also pass through Horowhenua-Kapiti, Manawatu, Wairarapa Bush, Whanganui, Poverty Bay and the East Coast, with Hurricanes chief executive Avan Lee saying it was important to share the team's success with fans throughout the regions.
"Winning the Super Rugby title was a long time coming and we appreciate that a lot of people throughout the eight provincial unions that make up the Hurricanes region played their part in our success along with all our other fans across the country."
Mr Lee said the support they received meant a lot to the players and everyone at Hurricanes HQ.
"Hopefully by taking the trophy out to the regions we can give a little back to the wider Canes family."
Yesterday the trophy went on a tour of Wellington spots, among them stopovers at train and bus depots to thank the city's drivers who had diligently delivered fans to and from the games.
It will hit the provincial road next Monday with some of the first stops being to schools along the Kapiti Coast, and over the following 10 days it will be ferried around the regions.
It is scheduled to be in Hastings on Thursday, November 10 for a showing between 11am and noon, followed by a showing in Napier that afternoon between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
The full details of the trophy appearances are still being worked through with local unions and will be posted on the Hurricanes website once confirmed.
