Boys from Hereworth School in Havelock North make it quite clear who they will be supporting in Sunday morning's Rugby World Cup final.

Hawke's Bay schools encouraged their students to show their support for the All Blacks today by wearing black in a Blackout day.

Private school Hereworth School in Havelock North led the charge with the boys lining up on the front fields of the distinctive school in the village to spell out the name of their favourite team - the All Blacks.

The All Blacks take on the Wallabies in the Rugby World Cup final at Twickenham in London at 5am Sunday (NZ time).

Many other schools, including Te Mata School in Havelock, embraced the Blackout with children wearing anything black from All Black jerseys and T-shirts to black dresses and shorts.

Children at all schools participating in the Blackout had one simple message: "Go the All Blacks."
