Hawke’s Bay Expressway blocked after car rolls on bridge, road now open

A car rolled after hitting a trailer on State Highway 2, Hawke’s Bay Expressway, blocking the road and backing up traffic.

The crash happened on the bridge over the Ngaruroro River in Twyford about 9.15am.

The road remained blocked with diversions in place until 10.40am.

A St John spokesperson said one person in a moderate condition was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
