The Hastings District Council is seeking the community's views on changes to Havelock North.
The council said it would welcome feedback concerning the reserve management plan for the Havelock North Domain, what could be included in a new Local Alcohol Policy (LAP), and ideas to change or protect the village.
Havelock North councillor Scott Henderson said the domain was "iconic to Havelock North" and "integral to our way of life".
"The plan will determine how the domain is developed over the next decade and council must be sure that the plan meets the public's aspirations," Mr Henderson said.
Information will be available on the Reserve Management Plan, the LAP, the Havelock North place based plan, the draft District Plan and the draft Annual Plan at the Havelock North Community Centre between 10am and 4pm on Thursday, April 18.
