Police and fire service attended an accident where a Second 2 None Movers furniture truck tipped on its side on Puketitiri Rd, Puketapu, destroying a steel barrier and fence, after rounding a sharp corner on a wet road. Video by Duncan Brown

A furniture truck tipped on its side in Puketapu, west of Napier, destroying a steel barrier and fence.

The Second 2 None Movers truck was travelling west on a winding section of Puketitri Rd, near the intersection of Apley Rd, when the driver lost control in wet conditions at about 10.40am.

The vehicle came to rest on top of a steep bank.

The manager of Second 2 None said the driver was uninjured and the company was "in a very busy situation" trying to secure delivery of the truck's furniture so its recipients "can have a good night's sleep".
