Arna Scott has struck a blow for ordinary women everywhere by challenging Bachelor star Nasty Nas to a fight in her upcoming boxing match

A former Havelock North woman wants to bring The Bachelor NZ runner-up, Naz Khanjani, "back down to reality" by stepping into the ring with her in an upcoming boxing match.

Arna Scott is putting a call out to the community to share and like her social media posts to show the organiser, Duco Events, that she is a social media star and worthy of the job.

Miss Khanjani will be fighting in the Burger King Road to the Title boxing bout in Christchurch on July 21.

She quickly made a name for herself as the controversial, outspoken contender on the show. She eventually lost out to Bay girl, and the show's winner, Fleur Verhoeven.

Miss Khanjani took to social media when the series ended, issuing an ultimatum to keyboard warriors who were writing mean things to "get in the ring".

Now living in Wellington, Miss Scott said she didn't like to "bag on anyone" but she felt that Miss Khanjani had built the hype up around herself - "The whole thing about keyboard warriors is silly, I think she's her own enemy ... I'd really like to bring someone like that back down to reality."

The fight will be undercard to heavyweight superstar Joseph Parker, who fights later that night.

Training to become a personal trainer, the 24-year-old said she was fit, working out at the gym six times a week, lifting weights and distance running regularly - but she had never boxed before.

The keen athlete said she didn't buy into The Bachelor NZ until the end of the series, when one of the Bay's own made it to the final two women.

"Like other Hawke's Bay girls did, I backed Fleur."

Since making her decision, friends and family have been sharing her video in a bid to help it go viral, bumping up her chances of selection.
